Description

ECO ETCHING WORKSHOP USING HOUSE HOLD MATERIALS

AIMS: At the end of this workshop you will have learned a fascinating new print technique and made your own professional looking monochrome art work to take away.

SUSTAINABILITY Artist Louise Whitham created an eco drypoint etching technique using discarded tetra pack drinks cartons and house hold materials. (See image above) Although the final printed results are incredibly similar to the traditional etching processes. The traditional etching process seriously damages the environment and artist's health because of the hydrochloric acid involved.
