Event description
Learn how to Eco-print onto fabric with bio-waste and flowers

About this event

In this two hour class you will learn how natural dyes work and how to fix them onto cotton, linen, and cellulose based fibres. You will be taken through the preparation of fabrics for natural dyeing, have a chance to experiment with bio-waste and flowers to create unique patterns. Finally you will create a design onto either a pair of socks, cushion cover or scarf to take home with you.

The class is limited to a maximum of 5 people at present and hand sanitizer will be available. We ask that you bring a mask and follow instructions regarding safe covid practice. At present we cannot offer refreshments and ask that you bring a water bottle for your own use with you.

Our studio is based at Hackney Bridge site where there are lots of restaurants and a bar for food and drink post or pre-class.

A great class for beginners and intermediate crafters and natural dyers.

This class is suitable for vegans and uses only sustainably sourced and waste dye stuff.
