Event description
Join for a discussion on whether Ecocide should be written in law given the impending catastrophe of climate change.

About this Event

Speakers will be presenting arguments on whether there should be criminal liability for governments and corporations that severely harm our environment.

This is a cutting-edge area of law as International Law Firm - ClientEarth, plan to take the first ever case against the Australian government for not doing enough about climate change.

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions to lecturers & debaters about this brand new type of potential criminal liability.

This event is brought to you the Sustainability Development Unit, Law Society, Amnesty Society, Criminology Society and the Bar Society.
