Fires and Fascism is a new documentary linking the increasing wildfires in Europe with the history of fascism, big business, organised crime, and the current rise of the far right. It showcases how communities are resisting both the uncontrollable fires and the spread of the fare right through direct action, protest, rewilding, and collective activism.

Director Pete Knapp, an air quality expert and academic, travels across Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal speaking to scientists, teachers, artists, gardeners, engineers, winemakers, NGOs, and authors to investigate the ties between increasing wildfires and growing far-right fascism.
