Event description
The 64th Ecological Genetics Group will be held between the 21st and 23rd of April at the University of St Andrews. All Welcome!

About this Event

The 64th Meeting of the Ecological Genetics Group will be held at the University of St Andrews between the 21st and 23rd of April 2020. The conference is sponsored by the British Ecological Society (BES) and the Genetics Society.

This year we are excited to announce that we are teaming up with the Conservation SIG and will hold a conservation focused day as part of this year's meeting. As usual there will be a full scientific and social programme throughout the three-day period of the conference. We hope to bring together those working in the fields of population genetics, ecology, evolution and conservation from across Europe and beyond.

Talks and posters are welcome from all! So please not matter what stage of your career, come along and get involved. For those of you still completing your MScs and PhDs, remember that you will have the chance to win the coveted best talk/poster prizes. The Ecological Genetics Group meetings have a long tradition of being friendly and relaxed, where young researchers studying for their PhDs can mix with established academics, and the organizing team will ensure that this tradition is upheld.

Social Programme

Fieldtrip into the Wilds of St Andrews

On Wednesday afternoon there will be a tour of habitats surrounding St Andrews taken by Prof Paul Ashton. Paul is currently Head of Department at Edge Hill University but is an alumnus of St Andrews and this is a tour not to be missed!

For those that purchase the conference package, attendance at the Conference Dinner will be included, that will take place on the Wednesday evening of the conference, this will be followed by the EGG- HEADS pub quiz.
