About this Event

Get ready to explore nature right in the heart of the city! Join the Canal & River Trust's Environmental Team for a relaxed evening ecology walk along the Ashton Canal.

We’ll be spotting local plants and identifying bats as dusk falls. It’s a great opportunity for families and adults who enjoy being outdoors and want to learn more about our local environment.

Please wear sturdy footwear – the towpath can be uneven – and note the route is not suitable for pushchairs. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. We'll be walking back in the dark, so a head torch or hand torch is highly recommended!

This is a free, guided walk open to all, but places are limited – please book in advance.
