A short biography on the speakers:


Deputy Director/Head of Policy NFU Cymru – Dylan Morgan

Dylan, who is based in Builth Wells, was born and bred on a small family farm and gained a BSc honours degree in Agriculture from Aberystwyth University.

Dylan, who now heads up the policy team, joined NFU Cymru in August 2001 as a Policy Research Adviser before becoming a Policy Adviser for the Union in November 2001. In April 2008 Dylan moved to the NFU Headquarters in Stoneleigh to take up the role of Chief Livestock Adviser. Prior to working for NFU Cymru Dylan worked for five years as an Animal Health Officer for the State Veterinary Service.

Director Agriculture NatWest & Royal Bank of Scotland - Roddy McLean

Roddy’s responsibilities include supporting the Bank’s Relationship Managers, keeping them informed on current farming issues and providing advice on more complex agricultural lending propositions, and in helping shape the Bank’s policy towards the agriculture.

Roddy joined the Bank in November 2004, after working for 21 years as an Agricultural Consultant with SAC in NE Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Before joining SAC Roddy gained practical experience on a number of farms around the UK, he still gets “his hands dirty” by helping out or is it hindering on his son! Away from work he is a keen curler, golfer and active supporter of Melrose RFC.

Senior Relationship Manager Lombard - Chloe Gibbs

Chloe is a Senior Relationship Manager for Lombard. She is an asset finance specialist and she looks after Mid, West and South Wales supporting business owners with capital expenditure for assets.

Community Banker Maren Hamre

Maren is Community Banker for Pembrokeshire and South Ceredigion. Every week she runs drop in clinics in Narberth, Pembroke, Milford Haven and Cardigan to support customers and also the wider community by arranging presentations to businesses and community groups on digital safety and scam awareness. These talks are free and open to everyone. She also supports local schools by running MoneySense workshops.
