Economics Colloquium 2019: This Sacred Earth

Economics for the whole biosphere

There is growing awareness that the current rate of exploitation and degradation of the earth and our environment is neither sustainable nor morally justifiable. At the least enlightened self-interest, and arguably man’s duty, lead to a very different approach, which will be developed by our excellent speakers: Colin Tudge, well known writer and broadcaster on Enlightened Agriculture, Steven Akester on Sustainable Fisheries, Peter Gardiner on the great steps being made in Forestry, the School’s Principal Ian Mason on Earth Jurisprudence and Jan Hockley on how children can be reconnected with Nature and themselves by Forest Schools. The final session will be a panel session.

There will be a substantial opportunity for questions from the floor

Prior to 28 June, tickets are £5 via Eventbrite and by calling Mandeville Place on 020 7034 4000. Tickets will be available on the night at a cost of £10.
