About this event

Science & Tech • Robotics

Offshore wind surveys (pre and post construction) come in many shapes and forms to derisk the projects, but from Aryan’s perspective, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are underutilised despite their many benefits such as higher resolution and weather independent operations. From being an undergraduate at Imperial to running a subsea technology company with his team alongside the degree, Aryan shares his journey of managing the two, developing a novel long-endurance AUV and eventually transitioning into full time founders – stay tuned to hear what challenges he’s had to overcome to try and stay ahead of the curve and relevant in a very competitive industry.

Presenter:

Aryan Shah is the co-founder and CEO of InX Tech and has recently completed his MSci in Geophysics from Imperial College London. His master’s thesis was written on subsea engineering risk analysis (geohazards and 3D UHRS) and he has spent 6 weeks offshore on a research expedition with LDEO to the North Atlantic surveying the Reykjanes Ridge. Aryan has also done a TEDx talk on the importance of ocean exploration.
