This CPCAB endorsed workshop is suitable for qualified counsellors and trainee counsellors.

Walk & Talk Counselling & Ecotherapy options are growing in popularity as we see more and more counsellors exploring what it is like to meet clients in the outdoors.

Recently we created a designated Creative Counsellors® Walk & Talk Facebook group, where members have been sharing their inspiring stories of working in the outdoors and the incredible benefits that this can offer.

Working in nature offers us so many beautiful creative and healing benefits and in this online training module, we will explore:

Safe practice outdoors, including contracting, confidentiality, risk assessments and other ethical considerations.

How to work with nature as you walk and talk.

Grounding and anchoring.

Pacing.

Side by side counselling vs eye to eye.

Working with natural materials - what you find and what you see as part of the process.

Mind, Body & Feelings in the outdoors.

This training is delivered virtually via zoom and there will be opportunities for questions and networking with colleagues throughout the workshop.

On completion, you will receive a certificate issued for four hours CPD.

Resources needed: Some basic creative materials like paper, pens & coloured pens. Some photos of outdoor areas that you enjoy walking in to share with colleagues within breakout rooms.

Some out door symbols you have collected to create some nature art, for example flowers, leaves, acorns, pine cones.
