Ecstatic Dance Experience with Cacao and Sound Bath Whitstable
Overview
Ecstatic dance is an opportunity to move, express, release, embody, energise and return home to ourselves. It invites us to explore and meet different states of being in a sober, heart-centred environment. Supported by music and community, it reconnects us to our indigenous, tribal essence as we drop in and remember the magic of rhythmic sound and movement.
We begin by sharing ceremonial cacao, a gentle heart-opening plant medicine that enhances presence, softens the emotional body, and deepens our connection to ourselves and to others. Cacao increases blood flow, uplifts mood, and invites a sense of openness, making the dance more expansive, intuitive, and embodied.
For 90 minutes, we move freely through a large sound wave guided by a Live DJ and an incredible sound system. The music journeys across mixed genres, beginning with a low-tempo, melodic warm-up and gradually rising into a powerful, high-energy dance before easing into a slow, fluid, introspective close. Some guidance and facilitation will support you along the way.
We end by coming to rest in a deeply restorative sound bath, allowing vibration to settle the nervous system, integrate the dance, and bring the body into a state of calm alignment. The sound bath helps release tension, clear the mind, and complete the journey with spaciousness and grounding.
Ecstatic Dance with cacao and sound healing invites you to dive deeply into the heart and body — connecting, expressing, letting go, integrating, and most importantly… having fun.
