Welcome to SunFire's Ecstatic Dance Wednesdays!

We gather at The Neptune Harvester in Boscombe, Bournemouth every Wednesday evening.

Ecstatic Dance is a practice of movement and free flowing dance that integrates emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. We embark on a movement journey allowing moments of gentle flow, natural rhythm, release, elation, stillness and reflection. When we move, we can quiet the mind and innately embody the rhythm of the music, freeing our selves and opening us to new perspectives. There are no steps to follow, just your own feet and your own heartbeat. There will be moments of guided meditation and others where you can deep dive into the music.

⛱️Beach Gathering - socialise around the bonfire after our dance and share songs, poetry and music. You are very welcome to bring your musical instruments.

This is a sober event.

• Arrive sober and remain so throughout the event.
• We dance barefoot.
• We refrain from conversations on the dance floor.
• Be respectful of yourself and others.
• Move spontaneously to a ecclectic mix of music.

What to bring:

- Water bottle.

- Comfortable clothes that you can move in - some like floaty garments, other's like wearing yoga style clothing.

- Layers are a good idea for this time of year as it is still quite chilly when the sun goes down.

- Warm coat for outside if you choose to socialise on the beach after our dance.

- Mat or towel.

- Shawl or small blanket.

- Musical instruments (optional).

ABOUT JUDEZ SUNFIRE Judez has a background in drama, dance, voice, and breathwork modalities. Conscious dance has been an inspirational part of her life. Her vision is to create safe spaces of free expression, conscious movement to release, receive, embrace and heal, as well as revel in the joy of the dance. She is a conscious and ecstatic dance facilitator and DJ.

ABOUT MONIKA MUDRA Monika Mudra is an embodied facilitator, space holder, and guide in practices of connection, presence, and touch.

For 8 years she walked the path of an intuitive massage therapist, learning to listen not just with her ears but with her hands, her body, and her heart. In that work she discovered something sacred: when we slow down and feel deeply, the body becomes a doorway into presence, peace, and belonging.

Now, through her training in Embodied Tantra with the Temple of Radiance, Monika weaves this devotion into spaces where we can remember what is already within us. Her work is rooted in sensitivity, reverence, and the simple truth that the body is sacred, the heart is wise, and presence is enough.

Her intention is to hold trauma-aware, non-sexual spaces where you feel safe to soften, to breathe, and to reconnect with the temple within.

Movement, energy, and flow have always been at the heart of Nick's life — from snowboarding and windsurfing to running and dance. As DJ Motion, he brings that same embodied connection into each sound journey, weaving rhythms that invite freedom, play, and presence. His sets draw on global sounds and ancestral beats, blending familiar grooves with unexpected treasures that awaken new movement in the body. Each journey is crafted to guide the room through waves of energy, from grounded stillness into ecstatic release, always returning to connection and integration.

ABOUT RUTH MCEWEN Ruth McEwen, a fully qualified Chakra Dancing and Mindful Meditation Therapist, Reiki Master and Sound Healer, and is delighted to be facilitating our ecstatic Chakra Dancing and Guided Meditation experience on 29th October.

In this safely held space, Ruth will invite you to let go of the day to day internal chatter, to release any stress, tension and judgement, to simply to dance and move expressively in your own unique way. The experience is revitalising, rebalancing and relaxing.

Regular somatic movement, dance and meditation is proven to lower the stress hormones that increase harmful cortisol levels leading to inflammation, reduced ability to fight off infections, and physical and mental health issues if elevated for long periods of time.

SUNFIRE DANCE

SunFire Dance offer Ecstatic and Conscious Dance events in Dorset. Judez was inspired to start her Movement Meditations, Beach, Forest and Celtic Calendar Conscious Dances, and this has grown to include Ecstatic Dance in Wimborne at Gaunts House and The Neptune Harvester.

There is something magical about coming together in community, whether it be dancing on the beach under the luminous full moon or in the crisp morning air watching the sunrise, gathering around a fire in community and sharing a conscious dance. It is always a special event.

Sun - born in the place of the Sun. Invite a ray of sunshine and light into your life. No matter how dark, cold, frozen or bleak life may seem. Move and ignite your passions.

Fire - it only takes a spark to get the creative fire burning. Fire can also burn away the old, that which no longer serves us. Out of the embers, new shoots and regrowth can form to transmute it into new life, new hope, a new dawn for you. Fire for warmth, for life, for nourishment
