Comfy layers of clothing, dancing shoes or socks (no shoes inside please).
Journal if you like, and a yoga mat/blanket for the meditation.
No expectations!
Who is this for?
Anyone! No experience necessary as you'll be gently guided throughout. No moves to follow but your own heart.
What is Ecstatic Awakening Dance anyway?!Its a five step process with a warm up, shake out, ecstatic dance, relaxation and seated meditation to close.
Why this process?
The warm up brings us into our body mindfully and connects us to breath. It's almost my favourite part!
The shake out relaxes the psoas muscles and can bring about deep relaxation.
The ecstatic dance allows us to move freely, release emotions, connect to our body with breath and movement and find libration and ecstasy!
The relaxation allows us time to integrate all we've moved through.
The seated meditation allows us time to ground and gather before we leave!
What we provide:
Beautiful space for dancing and a great sound system.
Chill out room for relaxing and connecting, with alter and oracle cards.
Drinking water to keep you hydrated.
Tea and snack to ground afterwards.
Free Parking at Jubilee Hall.
Self-care guidelines:
