Being a professional doctoral researcher is a challenge. Among the many problems with which doctoral researchers must grapple is practicing reflexivity in terms of stance, voice, ethics, design and research methods. This one-day conference addresses what, for professionals navigating the unique and transformative journeying of doctoral studies, are the essential questions that run throughout doctoral practice. These are the conference themes which also form the selection of choice for submissions:
- Mapping of doctoral researcher reflexivity practices by professionals
- Practising responsible reflexivity as researching professionals
- Generating ethical reflexivity for and impact on professions
The day has been organised to provide time for discussion of themes emerging throughout the day and to plan future dissemination and events. Lunch and teatime refreshments will be provided. More information on the programme for the day will be posted on the EdD website:
We are excited to welcome Professor Pat Thompson, co-author and co-editor of Helping Doctoral Students Write and The Routledge Handbook of Doctoral Research, as our keynote speaker for this event!
This conference is free to attend for EdD Community Members (students and teachers, including PhDs.) If you are NOT an EdD community member, instead click HERE to register.
