EDI Member Forum: Exploring and Enhancing the CLD Anti-Racism Toolkit
Overview
Come and join us at the next Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) members forum where we will kindly be joined by colleagues from the CLD team at Education Scotland.
During this informal session you will have the opportunity to:
- Explore some resources in relation to improving understanding of racial literacy and anti-racist practice
- Enquire how your CLD provision may consider how race and ethnicity may impact on CLD learners and provision
- Reflect on your own understanding and knowledge in relation to racial literacy
A greater understanding of these important and senstive areas can support our work with learners and communities. As always, we aim for this to be a safe, inclusive and positive space for CLD practitioners to share expertise, ask questions and develop knowledge to inform practice. All links, presentations and resources will be available for you to access on our ED&I i-develop group after the session.
The session will be held on MS Teams and a link will be sent to you 24 hours prior to the event
Professional Learning is a way for you as a professional CLD practitioner to show that you're keeping your CLD skills, knowledge and experience up to date, recording what you learn and reflecting on the impact it has on your practice. This online session may contribute to your annual CPD requirement.
Accessibility Information - If you have specific accessibility requirements (e.g. if you need the slides or more information to be sent to you in advance or need breaks at specific intervals) we would welcome more information about this beforehand. Whilst it is your choice to disclose this information, doing so will help us to better understand your needs and plan how to best support your engagement. Our aim is to make appropriate adjustments to our programme delivery to ensure the best possible experience for our delegates.
