Event description
The Edible Edinburgh business breakfast will focus on food sustainability within the city, providing opportunities to work collaboratively.

About this event

The City of Edinburgh Council has set an ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Food is an important part of achieving this target. By bringing together Edinburgh’s food businesses and providers, this event will focus on the ways in which we can work together to make Edinburgh a truly sustainable food city.

This event will explore opportunities for food businesses to ‘build back better’ as part of the Edinburgh's green recovery and determine why it is important to embed sustainability into this. You will hear an inspiring case study from Locavore and find out what other support and resources are available to Edinburgh's food businesses.

This event provides an ideal opportunity for the city's food businesses to come together to highlight good practice, discuss ways to work collaboratively on making Edinburgh a truly sustainable food city and to meet with others who share similar aims.

Organiser Edible Edinburgh

Organiser of Edible Edinburgh Business Breakfast

Edible Edinburgh is an initiative that aims to inspire and motivate everyone across Edinburgh to work together in developing new approaches to food, making positive choices that are healthier and tastier and which bring social, economic and environmental benefits to the whole community. Supported by a cross-sector steering group, it advocates for change in our food systems and provides a framework for action, funding and investment to realise the vision.
