Join us for an evening of relaxed creativity at Something Good Workshops in Deptford, London, with our Edible Still Life Painting Social – a casual, untutored painting experience combining art, food, and community in a welcoming atmosphere.
At this laid-back social art event, you’ll be invited to paint a charming still life arrangement—often featuring edible elements (like fruit or sweets) that you can nibble as you go (just be sure not to paint the part you plan to taste!). Painting alongside you in this relaxed, creative space, you’ll find good company, gentle conversation, and all the freedom to express yourself with paint.
You'll ease into the evening with a brief warm-up of drawing exercises to loosen up your wrist and creativity. No prior art experience is required—feel free to explore acrylic paint techniques, experiment with composition, and simply enjoy the process while we guide you gently.
All essential painting materials are provided, including A4 canvas boards, A3 backing card, brushes, acrylics, and inspiring still-life setups to paint from. By the end of the session, your acrylic creation will dry quickly and you’ll be ready to take your artwork home in our handy art bags.
From 1st September, our Deptford studio features a licensed bar—perfect for sipping wine, beer, or soft drinks (or bringing your own before September)—to enhance the creative atmosphere with light refreshments and social vibes.
This creative social is ideal for:
- Beginners and anyone seeking mindful downtime through art
- Solo creatives, couples, friends, or groups looking for an engaging night out
- Creative activities in Deptford, perfect for birthdays, date nights, hen dos, or corporate winding-down sessions
We love flexibility! If the available date doesn’t suit you, simply request alternative dates or private bookings—we’d be happy to arrange a custom class just for you or your group.
Step into creativity, unwind in community, and leave with both a beautiful piece of art and a refreshed mind.
