We are always interested in new angles on our home city and what it can tell us about the past, present and future. This month Jane Thompson (historian and SA community member) will speak about Edinburgh as a palimpsest. No, we didn't know the word either! A palimpsest is "something reused or altered but still bearing visible traces of its earlier form". As we know, the city has been here for centuries and it will be fascinating to hear Jane's insights into how the old can still be seen among the new.
And of course there will be our usual mix of singing great songs together with the house band, reflections, chats, tea and cake and community all in a non-religious setting. Let's celebrate this amazing life together.
