This full day course, which mixes short lectures, videos and practical activities, teaches you the basic rules of giving presentations. Dr Allan Gaw will share his seven top tips for a great talk, which all conveniently start with the letter E.
Topics include: • Preparation – avoiding distant elephants • Designing a presentation – beginnings, middles and ends • Effective use of PowerPoint – less is more • Dealing with questions – side-stepping banana skins
Who will benefit from this course? This course is relevant to individuals from any discipline who have no previous lecturing experience and for those who wish to improve their skills.
