About this event
Join us for breakfast, coffee, and great conversation with fantastic people from the Greentech community.
This engaging session, will delve into The Goldilocks Startup, a framework adopted by leading climate innovation organisations such as Elemental Impact, The Earthshot Prize and others. It has been recognised as a breakthrough approach that helps founders navigate the perilous challenges that can arise when applying ill-suited textbook "best practices" (i.e. Lean Startup) which aren't suited to the world of deep tech, hardware and/or regulated and difficult markets.
The session will explore the failures of conventional business wisdom when applied to hard tech & hard markets, and how companies can find the "Goldilocks" market using this systematic approach. There will also be plenty of time for discussion and feedback!
We are thrilled to be welcoming market strategy expert, Claire Rampen, to deliver this session. Claire is a Principal Consultant at First Matter, a specialist advisory practice for Go-To-Market strategy for deep tech and hard markets. Claire has 11+ years' experience in go-to-market, ranging from corporate environments to high-growth scale-ups and founding an early-stage startup. Her focus has always been on the positioning of novel technologies within essential infrastructures, ranging from telecommunications to transport and manufacturing. She also holds a Doctoral Studentship at Strathclyde where she is researching circular economy initiatives in critical materials supply chains for energy and transport.
Join us to learn, ask questions, and get inspired by what’s possible at the intersection of digital innovation and sustainability.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in sustainability or greentech, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet other people in the space and get to know the Edinburgh Greentech community. We look forward to seeing you there!
