Edinburgh Interfaith Civic Reception (Celebrating 30 yrs of EIFA)

About this Event

Frank Ross, The Rt. Hon Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh, and the Edinburgh Interfaith Association cordially invite you to an upcoming reception in celebration of 30 years since the establishment of the Edinburgh Interfaith Association.

The reception will be held at the European Room, City Chambers, 253 High St, Edinburgh EH1 1YJ on November 12th 2019, from 6pm 8pm.

The key note speaker is Professor Ian Bradley Emeritus Professor of Cultural and Spiritual History at St Andrews University, and the author of several books on pilgrimage, including 'Pilgrimage: A Spiritual and Cultural Journey' (2009) and 'The Fife Pilgrim Way: In the Steps of Monks, Miners and Martyrs' (2019). He will speak to the topic of, 'The changing face of pilgrimage (in Scotland)’ with a response from Shakyh Hassan Rabbani on, ‘Pilgrimage in Islam.’

Professor Hugh Goddard will give a ‘Brief account of the history of EIFA.’
