Come join us for a relaxing, scenic nature walk from Colinton Dell to Balerno! This small group event is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Water of Leith, enjoy fresh air, lush greenery, and maybe even spot some local wildlife along the way. Our group is non-hierarchical—while I’ll loosely organise and keep time, the session’s structure and flow are shaped by everyone. This is all about sharing knowledge, community, and connection.

Route & Accessibility: Mostly grass and mud tracks, with some paved paths. Some hilly sections, but nothing too steep. I’ll do my best to make the route, pace, and distance accessible to everyone.
Getting There: Public transport: From Edinburgh city center, take bus 44, 34, or 4 to the Water of Leith Visitor Centre.
Driving: Parking is available at Asda Chesser Supercenter, just a 5-minute walk away. Please note: this is not a round trail, so returning to your vehicle from Balerno requires public transport.
🌱
What to Bring:
Comfy shoes (walking shoes, trainers, or boots for mud)
Raincoat – because Scotland!
Snacks & water – fuel for the walk
