🎨 Shadow Painting Social + nibbles Get creative and make new friends (most people attend solo) at our relaxed shadow painting social!No experience needed — just come along and enjoy an evening of fun, art, and shared slices.The event starts off with conversation cards to get everyone chatting. Shadow painting is a calming, creative process where we use dried flowers to cast shadows on paper and trace the delicate patterns they create. With just a pencil and a bit of light, these natural forms are transformed into beautiful, abstract outlines — no fine art skills needed!

Once traced, you can bring your piece to life with watercolours, pencils, or any other materials you like. It's a slow, mindful way to connect with nature and creativity, and a reminder that beauty can come from even the simplest shapes.

At the event, we’ll provide:

• A selection of dried flowers
• Watercolours and art supplies

If you’re feeling unsure, don’t worry — we’ll also have a wonderful artist’s video demonstration to guide and inspire you. Whether you're a seasoned painter or a complete beginner, shadow painting is all about experimenting, relaxing, and letting nature lead the way.Where Friends Grow is a community and club all about connecting with nature and making new friends. We run fun, creative, low-cost events — like wildflower planting, foraging walks, potluck picnics, and wild swims — to help people in their 20s and 30s slow down, get outside, and build real community.
