Edinburgh's First Hibernian Book Launch

Ballingarry AFC and Thirsty Books celebrate the subject of Edinburgh’s First Hibernian by Mike Hennessy. This richly illustrated book is a long-overdue biography of Edward Joseph Hannan who rose from post-Famine Ireland to become one of the most influential figures in 19th century Edinburgh.

The author will speak to the background and achievements of Father, later Canon Hannan along with a contribution from guest of honour Patrick O’Donovan, Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport.

Signed copies of the book will be on sale at the venue and afterwards at Condron's Bar, Main Street, Balingarry (from 5pm).
