Event description
We offer you the opportunity to learn exactly how award-winning, big-prize-nominated author, A. M.Dassu did it. How exciting is that?

About this event

A. M. Dassu will show you what it takes to get published. From reading within your genre, to the importance of critique, editing, rewriting, submitting your work to agents and then waiting for publisher responses. She'll show you how she developed her manuscript, sharing some of the ‘zero’ draft opening chapters, which eventually became other chapters within the book. She'll cover working with an editor, choosing a cover and the whole marketing process.

She'll show you how ‘writing is actually rewriting' and how certain chapters in her book were developed and improved with each stage of editing. We’ll look at adding description, distinctive details, showing and telling. You will then write a short scene and then edit it under her expert eye!

Throughout this course you will...

  • Learn exactly what it takes to get published and how to navigate the industry.
  • Learn the art of micro editing and macro editing, and then apply it to your writing.
