Event Overview

Growing education organisations is hard. At Edspace, we're here to make it easier. Whether it's by networking with our extensive education community, sharpening your and your team's skills through our tailored webinars and academy days or by making the most of our subsidised desk offers in a prime East London location, our mission is to help education organisations like yours to thrive.

This Spring we're thrilled to be hosting a suite of brilliant events, including our flagship monthly networking event, the Edspace Growth Breakfast series. Held at Edspace on the first Thursday of every month, the Growth Breakfasts feature a talk by a leading voice in education + excellent networking with other education innovators + our famous (free!) breakfast spread.

Past speakers include Lauren Thorpe (Ark), Daisy Christodoulou (No More Marking), Dominic Norrish (United Learning Trust), Jodie Lopez (lovEdtech), Mike Southon (Beermat Entrepreneur) and Graham Hales (Interbrand) – every month, we bring you the people who understand what it takes to build a successful enterprise in education.

Next event: Thursday 6 June - Eeswaran Navaratnam, Partner at 01 Ventures

Fundraising is not easy and it’s time consuming - many founders fail to raise capital, some get meetings but run in circles never getting a lead investor. Even if successful, founders can, if they are not careful, end up in a perpetual fundraising cycle for years. Eeswaran’s session will give you valuable insights into how to effectively fundraise from a VC.

Eeswaran is Partner at 01 Ventures, a European deep tech VC fund based in Amsterdam & London. He is an Aeronautical Engineer and Entrepreneur who has a keen interest in helping businesses scale and grow. He has helped the international expansion of businesses large and small from global oil companies to early-stage startups. He has a particularly strong interest in, and understanding of, machine intelligence and the vast opportunities that brings.

Recognised as one of Europe's leading deep tech investors, Eeswaran is often asked to speak at prominent events throughout Europe. In addition to his speaking engagements, Eeswaran is an active mentor at the Mayor of London’s International Business Programme and ZCube, Zambone Group's open innovation programme. Eeswaran is also a Board Member at Valossa and Bibblio.
