“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela.
Help us to give every child everywhere the opportunity to go to school by attending the first ever Gala Dinner in support of Educate the World [UK] [registered charity 1137077] taking place on Saturday 22nd October 2016 at The Oakley Court Hotel in Windsor, Berkshire.
The event will be themed ‘The Orient Express’ and will commence with a drinks reception at 7.00pm. This will be followed by a three course meal. After dinner entertainment will be provided by patron of Educate the World [UK] Scarlett Quigley, highly acclaimed artist Il Tenor, the hugely talented pop-country singer-songwriter Hannah Vandie from the USA, giving her first performance outside of the USA and emerging Celtic-influenced artist Forest. Our after-dinner speaker will be the explorer Justin Miles who uses his experiences to support education initiatives worldwide. A fully licensed bar will be available throughout the evening and we have secured some amazing items for a live and silent auction as well as a raffle. The dress code is either 1920’s dress; black tie or lounge suits.
The menu for the 3 course dinner [which will be served with a glass of red or white wine or fruit juice] is:
Country terrine, chutney, pickles
Goats cheese mousse, baked beets, walnut pickle [v]
Roast chicken, roasted roots, chorizo
Risotto of seasonal vegetables and mushrooms, aged parmesan [v]
Seasonal Eton mess
Coffee or Tea
