This year, NatWest Bank and Sussex Business Times (as part of Life Media Group) is hosting a series of bi-monthly discussion events in order to address regional and national business issues: particularly those that affect businesses operating across the Sussex region.
Previous months have covered:
The Revitalisation of Coastal Communities
Innovation and Growth in the Technology and Professional Services Sector
Entrepreneurship and Start Up Business Ventures: Supporting Us, Supporting Them
Infrastructure, Housing and Commercial Development
This month, on Monday 12th December, NatWest and SBT are discussing the topic of Education, and how we can best come together to close the gap between the education system and the business community.
This discussion will cover the education system as a whole; what skills are being developed in schools that can benefit businesses in Sussex; what skills businesses are looking for from school-leavers; what options are out there for students and newly qualified young people; and how businesses and education bodies can work closer together to maximise the future workforce's, and our economic success.
We are inviting a LIVE AUDIENCE to witness the discussion and get involved, with a Q&A session at the end.
Held in NatWest's Entrepreneurial Hub in Preston Road, Brighton, the event will involve a roughly hour long roundtable discussion with local business representatives, including those from the ESpark hub themselves and big names in the community (panel TBA).
You are all invited to attend as audience members to what promises-to-be a truly fascinating, engaging and interesting event, giving you the chance to learn about how we intend to grow our economy with a bit more collaboration, and encourage young people to develop the right skills, and give your own opinion. We hope that issues will be worked towards resolution, concerns raised and opinions voiced.
