Event description

Description

This is the third in LSE’s series of meetings on Digital Life. It aims to bring leading practitioners together with scholars to exchange experience, views and ideas about the challenges and direction of digital development, and the policies and strategies that may be necessary to ensure positive outcomes for people, economy and society.

Digitalisation is transforming education and as the catalyst of citizenship education is key to achieving better digital lives. Whilst industry looks to schools, colleges and universities to create a viable labour force of coders and data scientists, society looks to broad-based education to develop and reinforce community values and ensure that digitalization remains a force for good. What are the basics in a digital world? Which approaches will best prepare young people for empowered, inclusive digital life?

Our list of confirmed speakers includes: Laurie B. Forcier (Pearson), Simon Nelson (Futurelearn), Paula Valverde (Pro Futuro), Prof. Nick Couldry (LSE) and Neil Iles (La Sainte Union Catholic School).
