Education Health and Care Plan - Annual Review Training

All Education Health and Care plans must be reviewed every 12 months. This training is essential core training for all SENCOs and Education, Health and Care professionals who are involved in annual reviews. It is suitable for providers and advice givers working with children and young people with an EHC Plan of any age (Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Post-16).

The training has been developed to support SENCOs and advice givers / advisory services in understanding their roles and responsibilities in preparing for and delivering a person-centred review of the EHC Plan. We will cover the work that needs to be completed throughout the year as well as how to arrange, participate in and complete the annual review in a way that is meaningful and person-centred.

The training will be delivered in 3 parts:

1. A pre-recorded presentation detailing the requirements of and what makes a good annual review

2. A pre-recorded round table discussion on completing the review, including completing the annual review report

3. A Zoom call presentation and Q&A session covering any questions plus additional areas such as emergency reviews and changes to provision

Each part will last for approx. 1 hour. The training is being delivered in this way due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The training will introduce, and cover updated written guidance and an updated annual review report template that should be used for all Sheffield EHC Plans.

The training has been developed by the Inclusion Taskforce will be delivered by citywide SENCOs and Local Authority officers.

• Wednesday 3rd February 2021 – 11:30am-12:30

• Tuesday 9th February 2021 – 3:30-4:30pm

• Thursday 11th February – 3:30-4:30pm

• Monday 22th February – 3:30-4:30pm

• Thursday 25th February 2021 – 1:30-2:30pm

When registered you will be sent links plus documentation for the self-guided parts of the training. It is essential that you complete parts 1 and 2 before attending part 3 and that all parts are completed.
