This is an opportunity for students who are intereted in studying Education Studies in the academic year 2014/ 2015.
Education Studies is a new and evolving academic subject which has expanded considerably in recent years as more and more people realise that a detailed understanding of education as a subject is essential for any aspiring education professional. It provides the knowledge, understanding and critical analysis to inform future professionals working in the field of education.
This course is aimed at anyone who is interested in the study of education whether you have just completed A Levels or have spent some time away from education. It provides an academic understanding of educational settings and provides a framework for understanding aspects of learning and development for anyone with an interest in learning across a range of educational environments.
The degree is based around the four ‘pillars’ of Philosophy, History, Sociology and Psychology. These will be incorporated throughout your from the start enabling you to identify and follow the key themes as you progress through your studies. Additionally the course will work to develop your own personal academic and critical thinking skills as a new researcher within education.

The Campus Caf will be availble with refreshments throughout the day. This is also where you will find our Student Ambassadors to chat to about the course and to take you on campus tours at your leisure.
