This is a blended course, consisting of roughly six hours worth of e-learning, followed by one day of face to face learning. Traditionally, Educational Supervision courses are two days face to face learning. Therefore, if service needs allow, it may be appropriate to take a day of Study Leave to complete the e-learning modules.

Completion of this course will approve senior doctors as Educational & Clinical Supervisors. If you do not currently have trainees in your respective department, you can still operate as an Educational Supervisor. On completion of both the e-learning and face to face sessions, you will receive a certificate of completion and will be added to our local register of approved supervisors.

Details of e-learning modules to be completed will be sent out after you have registered for the course. Topics that will be covered during the course are listed below

There is some capacity at the event for current supervisors to attend sessions for "additional CPD". Please do not book a full-day ticket if you want to attend for a refresher, as you will be expected to complete the whole course including the e-learning. Please contact helen.ellis14@nhs.net if you would like to attend any sessions for a refresher.
