Talk 1: A rapid, automated multi-analyte biochip array for early stroke diagnosis
Acute ischaemic stroke accounts for 87% of all stroke cases and can be treated by thrombolysis and early administration to help limit stroke damage and disability. However, inappropriate administration of thrombolytic therapy can cause serious adverse effects. In this session, Dr. Curry discusses how Randox unique Biochip array can simultaneously identify GSTP-Pi, NDKA, PARK7, GFAP, D-Dimer, IL-6 and H-FABP in a single plasma sample. The new dedicated Evidence Evolution biochip analyser, for which this array will be made available, will also be presented.
Talk 2: Clinical evaluation of an automated multi-analyte biochip array for early stroke diagnosis
Talk 2 will discuss an observational study conducted to evaluate the utility of this array for an early diagnosis. The ability of some of these biomarkers to discriminate early between haemorrhagic and ischaemic stroke will be demonstrated through the results of his study.
