This online CPD course aims to support understanding and application of theory , research and excellent early years practice relating to self-regulation skills, linked to the stress related behaviours of young children and the role of the adult in relational educational approaches.

Through this course, you will begin to understand healthy, early brain and body childhood development and how this links to healthy and positive outcomes for children in terms of life skills, wellbeing and learning.

With EASY to understand explanations, links and terms used in education, aimed to empower your practice and support the children within your care, based on up to date science and research.

This course is aimed for all those working with young children +, from L2+ , as well as those in senior positions, with something for everyone to reflect upon and take forward in as much depth as you wish. It is led by Hannah of EEY, an Early Years Teacher, Education Assessor, EY trainer, EYITT Personal tutor and former Associate Lecturer of Childhood studies, who is passionate about enabling young children to thrive and adapting research into easy early years practices.

Moreover, you will develop a key understanding of RELATIONAL EDUCATIONAL approaches, the role of Stress on behaviour and your role in co-regulation (as part of relational approaches to behaviour), in order to reduce dysregulation of the stress systems in children and enable children then to ideally master key self regulation skills. All of which will have a huge impact on their later academic and well-being outcomes

In addition, recent academic research will enhance your practical knowledge of some of the factors linked to increased stress levels of children within the environment, pedagogy, practice and their lives and how these relate to the educational and life outcomes of unique children.

Overall, you will begin to be able to observe, understand and address the potential root causes of poor learning and social behaviours, by re-framing these in terms of up to date research-led evidence linking to stress reactions within the brain and body, allowing you to support, enable and nurture children to thrive within your setting or school environment (and at home).
