EMPOWERING EARLY YEARS
ONLINE CPD TRAINING: 'SENSORY FLIPPED' learning environments - provision & practice (for ALL) to thrive.
Looking at key research around our 8 x senses & sensory integration skills as part of healthy brain development, plus the links to cognitive skills and academic/ wellbeing & outcomes.
It will showcase the vital role of sensory elements in provision/ practice to enhance all learning and cognitive skills for all children,(through regulation & multi sensory learning opportunities), but especially for those needing supported learning opportunities (with sensory interuptions) - leading to positive wellbeing, outcomes and thriving.
This course will look at reflection on provision/ practice and offer ideas for Educators to enable & facilitate this.
*Live online session
* Pre-event reflective practitioner pack
* PDF course notes
* CPD certificate upon completion.
This course (as all with EEY) is focused around empowering those EY professionals working with young children to develop their practice, provide key CPD reflections or as a refresher on child development related research into excellent Early Years practice - allowing children 0-5 + to thrive and learn.
Recent research and theory will be easily explained into excellent EY practice (s), so that the course is accessible, useful and relevant to enabling excellent provision and practice.

- Contemporary understanding of why sensory needs are exacerbated today in recent times.
- Why senses matter for learning and life (based on Neurosci' and research)
- Sensory overload/ understimulation and the links to dysregulated (F,F,F ) behaviours.
- Research led understanding of learning through sensory opportunities to enhance cognitive skills and EF skills/ overall learning and relative / salient practice and how this occurs.
- Ideas for provision (in setting/ classroom)& practice in general which support 'sensory - flipped' underdstanding of educational practice which meets all needs.
- Links to inclusive, diverse and equity practices in education and why these matter for outcomes, impact and wellbeing.
