Appraising department performance - supporting effective departmental self-evaluation:
The aim of this session is to support colleagues to evaluate a range of indicators over time, to assist in accurate and fair appraisal of the performance of a department and a departmental teachers.
The session will refresh/develop skills in:
i) Evaluating educational significance of information
ii) Identifying relative weaknesses to determine priorities and key areas of focus
iii) Setting appropriate quantitative targets to support measuring impact
iv) Helping colleagues to access and understnd data to support their self-evaluation
