We are delighted to announce two half-day CPD sessions in central London on including children with Autism and on Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). Each of these sessions is a stand alone, and participants can choose to attend one or both.

Morning: 9:30 - 12:00 
Six Simple Steps to Success When working with Learners with Autism.
This training is designed to give all school and college staff who work with students who have autism an understanding of the condition and tips for creating an autism friendly environment. You will learn effective strategies for removing barriers to learning by improving communication, overcoming sensory difficulties, and managing behaviour,

Afternoon: 1:30 - 4:00
Pathological Demand Avoidance - Simple Classroom Strategies for a Complex Autism Spectrum Condition.
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a complex Autism Spectrum Condition that is characterised by an anxiety driven need to be in control and avoid every day demands.  Children and young people with PDA require careful handling and you will learn a different approach to that usually adopted with individuals with Classic Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.



Single session half day:
£95 + VAT
