This course is for PAs or potential PAs - who are/will look after vulnerable adults or children.

Communication skills are so important in every aspect of our day to day life. It is important that we understand the difficulties some people may have in being able to communicate effectively, and how we can assist them.

• Describe the importance of effective communication at work
• Explain how to meet the communication and language needs, wishes and preferences of individuals
• Explain how to promote effective communication
• Describe the principles and practices relating to confidentiality
• Explain the importance of handling information correctly
