Effective Interactions in the EYFS
Quality Interactions between the adults and children in the EYFS is a crucial part to developing language and learning. This session aims to explore how these interactions can play a crucial role in the setting to move learning forward.
This session is aimed at anyone who supports learning in EYFS. As well as the curriculum and the environment, adult interactions are a key driver for developing language and understanding in the Early Years. Appreciating how language and modelled talk supports development will allow participants to reflect on their own role in the setting and return to their schools better prepared to support the development of the pupils in their provision.
Learning outcomes
- To understand how as practitioners we both can enhance or hinder learning in the EYFS when engaging with pupils
- To consider and explore how the language that practitioners use and model can support deeper understanding and learning by pupils.
Target audience: EYFS Teachers, Early Years Leads, Nursery Teachers and Teaching Assistants
