Linguistic Profiling can help you explore the hidden depths of communication styles in the workplace.

The ability to communicate effectively is essential for leaders in today’s ever-changing workplaces.

In our engaging free one day workshop you will learn more about both verbal and non-verbal communication, emphasising the significant role that non-verbal communication plays in communicating effectively and efficiently.

Who should attend?

* Small Medium Enterprises (SME) based in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. This event is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020. This event is classed as State Aid to participating businesses, the value of which is £379, but is delivered completely free of charge to participants.



What to expect:

Our workshops offer a unique training experience as they are based on real-life professional interactions and include interactive drama and performance elements with our dedicated team of actors.


Workshop Leaders:

Assistant Professor Dr. Sarah Atkins will lead this workshop. Sarah investigates and consults on language and professional communication, primarily in health care settings. She has conducted research with a range of professional groups, including GPs and emergency care providers, exploring the ways in which communication is assessed in professional licensing examinations.

She will be joined by Dr Gavin Brookes, LiPP Research Fellow and Business Consultant. Gavin's research sits at the interface of discourse and social life, in particular the way people communicate about health and illness.
