This course has been designed specifically to help Jewellery Designer Makers successfully communicate their product and skills to prospective clients.

With tutor guidance from Jewellery Marketing expert Simon Rainer, you will identify a series of crucial factors within your Jewellery business and discover how these can be used with other elements to build a marketing plan.

A thought provoking course aimed at helping you focus on your business, build confidence in your ability to appeal to clients and implement a marketing plan within your capability.

Simon Rainer has been involved in the UK and International jewellery markets for over 25 years, in particular specialising in Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), most recently he was Chief Executive of the British Jewellers’ Association. During his time at the BJA, Simon was Director of The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), an Executive Vice President of The World Jewellery Federation (CIBJO) and an honorary Member of The London Diamond Bourse.

In addition he has worked closely with The British Government, Civil Society, Metropolitan Police and the British Standards Institute.

Simon was also one of the founding partners in the UK Jewellery Ethics Committee, and worked extensively with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office for reform to the Kimberley Process.

An industry ambassador for greater transparency in the jewellery supply chain, Simon is a champion of the many benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility and an author of many industry papers including the Jeweller’s Social Responsibility Framework and the extensive Jewellery Retailers Handbook.

In 2014 he received the “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” award at the UK's prestigious Jewellery Awards.


What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The nearest parking is a multi-storey Car Park suitable for an all-day event which is located just down the road from the venue at 103-104 Vyse St, Birmingham B18 6LP

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes please, this is most helpful.

What's the refund policy?

Refund Policy

Once you have booked a course place a cancellation fee of £55 is applicable and will be deducted from your refund if you cancel your course up to and including 4 days prior to the start date of the course.

Cancellations received within 4 days of the course date are not eligible for a refund, you may however transfer your booking to another person. Please email bespoketraining@virginmedia.com if you need to action this option.

Could the course be cancelled?

IMPORTANT: If we need to cancel your course because not enough attendees have booked to make the course viable you will be advised at least 6 days before the course date, if this happens your course fee will be refunded in full. We are not liable for any travel of accommodation expenses incurred in the event of a course cancellation, therefore you should contact your own Insurance Broker for advice if this is of concern.

Should we need to cancel your course due to any other unforeseen circumstances we will refund your course fee in full.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can do this via your Eventbrite account online

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes but you MUST email us to advise you wish to do this or the person attending will not be admitted to the course. Email: bespoketraining@virginmedia.com

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not included in the event, but there are many local cafes nearby. Tea/coffee is provided during the course, and you are welcome to bring bottled water if you prefer.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

A notebook might be helpful to you.
