Effective Partnership Working – People Management Issues
Wed 24 May 2017, 17:30 – 20:00 BST
Following the formation of a single organisational entity in April 2016, the North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership is responsible for delivering joined-up health and social care activities, bringing together functions previously delivered separately by NHS Ayrshire & Arran and North Ayrshire Council. We heard last year from Calum Webster about the strategic and cultural issues that this has raised and how these have been addressed.
With the (over 3000) staff and management responsible for integrated service delivery still technically employed by separate employers, with different terms, conditions, employment policies, consultation arrangements and negotiating mechanisms, the challenges (and opportunities!) for HR Management and Trades Union representatives are many and varied.
At this learning event, Marianne McBurnie, HR Manager for NHS Ayrshire & Arran and Louise McDaid, UNISON Branch Secretary for North Ayrshire, will give management and Trade Union perspectives on the employee issues that have arisen to date and others still to be addressed, giving their views on how best to tackle issues arising.
This event will of interest to HR practitioners generally, as mergers and joined-up partnership working arrangements are on the increase, and the issues explored will help effective partnership working in whichever environment you operate. As usual at our events there will be lively discussion, great opportunities for learning about real examples of solutions to issues through effective partnership working, and lots of networking with colleagues and discussion of shared interests.
Come along from 5:30pm onwards for a light buffet and tea/coffee, with presentations commencing around 6:15pm and the event closing by 8:00pm.
