Description

The third EMRAN seminar will be hosted by Professor Judith Sixsmith and Dr Lee Machado of the Ageing Research Centre at the University of Northampton's Institute of Health and Wellbeing.  This seminar will focus on 'Effective Patient and Public Involvement in Ageing and Older People Research'.  This seminar will be led by PPI representatives from across the East Midlands to highlight their contributions to projects at different points in the research process, including:

  • Katie Jones & Jane Taylor - How Northamptonshire effectively intertwine PPI in their projects

  • Judith Sixsmith & TBD - Public Consultation and Shaping Bids

  • Lissie Wilkins - The benefits of attending Lay Assessor Training

  • Debbie Butler - Generating research ideas derived from experience

This promises to be an informative and productive seminar with opportunities to discuss collaborative working and ideas for new research projects.
