Effective Patient and Public Involvement in Ageing and Older People Reserch
The third EMRAN seminar will be hosted by Professor Judith Sixsmith and Dr Lee Machado of the Ageing Research Centre at the University of Northampton's Institute of Health and Wellbeing. This seminar will focus on 'Effective Patient and Public Involvement in Ageing and Older People Research'. There will be a mixture of PPI representatives and academics from across the East Midlands leading the presentations to highlight the different ways in which patient and public representatives can contribute to research in ageing and older people, including:

Judith Sixsmith - Public Consultation and Shaping Bids
Lissie Wilkins - The benefits of attending Lay Assessor Training
Debbie Butler - Generating New Research Ideas
This promises to be an informative and productive seminar with opportunities to discuss collaborative working and ideas for new research projects.
