Event description
This course will provide teachers with a range of ideas to support effective role play in primary classrooms.

About this Event

Role play can provide children with a wide range of educational opportunities .

A high quality role play area is one of the most effective ways adults can develop language and vocabulary in real, meaningful contexts.

If we get it right, role play can give children a range of rich experiences which will support their personal and social skills, communication and a wealth of cross curricular learning.

This course will explore the purpose of a role play area and give teachers and practitioners some simple, practical ideas to take back to the classroom whether they work in EYFS, Key Stage One , or Key Stage Two.

“People like Ruth are a rare find, passionate, dynamic and with a wealth of school leadership experience… training sessions with Ruth always enable reflection and improvements in quality and outcomes for children.”

Greg Bottrill – Teacher and Author of “Can I go and play now?”
