This 2 hours quality assured SAFEcic interactive Zoom course is for all those who lead and deputise on safeguarding for their organisation.
It meets the requirements of the relevant safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance, Ofsted, CQC, the Charity Commission, the ICO, various Regulated Bodies' guidance and is line with local Safeguarding Boards', Partnership's and Protection Committees' expectations.
Learning Outcomes:
All delegates must already have a current Leading on Safeguarding training certificate in place before attending this course. Upon successful completion of this interactive, bespoke course delegates will be able to:
- Name the key legislation and statutory guidance related to record keeping
- Define the meanings of confidentiality, consent, information sharing, privacy, mental capacity, record storage and retention periods, data protection and UK GDPR in relation to safeguarding record keeping
- Explain what is meant by fact and opinion and how to correctly record concerns and chronologies
- Outline how to decide to record and pass on information in exceptional circumstances, without consent and to raise concerns if people are at risk

The course includes a comprehensive, hard copy training pack and certificate of attendance, valid for 3 years, for each delegate.
