About Sarah Jerman:
Sarah Jerman is an Education Consultant and English Hub Lead. Sarah has worked extensively with schools for many years, to improve phonics and reading outcomes for pupils and has designed and facilitated many professional development packages. Prior to her work with English Hubs, Sarah has taught in a variety of schools and Early Years settings across the South West and in Forces schools in Germany. Sarah was a lead EYFS moderator for a Local Authority and implemented the two year old nursery provision in several schools across Swindon.

We know that high quality teaching and accurate assessment are fundamental to ensuring pupil success across all subjects. This half day conference will explore the importance of effective and accurate assessment in phonics and how this assessment can be used to ensure pupils' close knowledge and skills gaps quickly.
We will also be looking at ways to effectively assess fluency both in KS1 and KS2 and why this is so important.
Aimed at: Teachers and leaders from EYFS to KS2. Maximum two places per school.
