We are not running from Pomphrey Hill on the 11th September, it's an Away Run.

For this Away Run, we'll be meeting outside the Old Lock & Weir, Hanham Mills, Bristol, BS15 3NU, 5.4 miles away from Pomphrey Hill.

You have the option of a 3.0, a 5.0 or a 5.5 mile looped run which will follow our normal Loopy Tuesday pace groups (Long = sub 24 minute parkrun, Medium = sub 30 minute parkrun and Short = 30 minute plus parkrun). We have Run Leaders for each distance who will be leading and looking after you all.

When we have finished the Away Run, buy yourself (and your mates?) a drink in the pub (at your expense) and EGRC will take care of the food provision (at our expense); we've arranged for a post-run BBQ. NB: If you would like a vegan or vegetarian alternative, please email info@emersonsgreenrunningclub.co.uk by 7.00pm on Monday 8th September so that we can advise the pub accordingly.

VERY IMPORTANT - Eventbrite booking closes at 7.00pm on Monday 8th September so that we can inform the pub of attendee numbers and consider additional Run Leader provision if appropriate.

Our Away Runs are a great way to explore less familiar routes across the stunning local countryside and socialise with fellow members over a drink and a bite to eat - please do allow time post-run to chit-chat and chill but please note that it may get chilly as the evening progresses so consider bringing extra layers.

Important Note: We expect all attendees to our sessions to have completed a Couch to 5k or a parkrun. We are not equipped to look after those just starting out on their running journey.

Attendees to of our sessions are not expected to run or jog at a prescribed pace; everyone runs/jogs/walks as fast or as slow as they wish to at a pace that they determine themselves.

Any terms we use, fast, slow, comfortably hard, 5k pace etc are all intended to be relative to the capability, confidence and ability of the individual; you choose what the terms we use mean to you.

If you are in any doubt as to how your ability compares to other attendees, please try our Run/Walk sessions on a Monday first.
