EGS Networking & Dare Kick-Off Party
Event Information
Description
It's time to party on Wednesday 12th August at the Cask & Cork from 18:00 after an intense first day of the Edinburgh Game Symposium, and to usher in this year's Dare ProtoPlay Festival! Tickets for EGS itself are still available here.

With game developers to meet, a chance to grab a bite to eat (until 9pm), multiplayer games to play, video game music and free drinks sponsored by Kobojo, you have no excuse not to come along for this celebration! Tickets are free and everyone from all corners of the Scottish games industry is invited, whether you're an EGS attendee, Dare contestant, indie showcase exhibitor, student... or a professional who's been hard at work and missing out on the fun all day!

We'd like to thank Kobojo for graciously sponsoring the EGS Networking and Dare Kick-Off Party. To stay up to date on their work, job vacancies and news we encourage you to like them on Facebook or follow @Kobojo on Twitter.
Our events are always open for anyone and everyone to attend, even for non-IGDA members. Attendees must be over the age of 18. IGDA Scotland is hosting this event in association with the Edinburgh Game Symposium and Kobojo; and is not affiliated with Dare to be Digital Limited or Dare ProtoPlay.
I already have an EGS ticket, do I need to register for this separately?
You can if you like, but we are also working with EGS to automatically issue party tickets for you. Register ahead of time, or wait and look out for an email from Eventbrite on Wednesday afternoon. If you bought an EGS ticket on the day, we might need to manually register you, so please keep your EGS wristband just in case.
Do I need to print out and bring my Eventbrite ticket?
No, we will have a guest list at the door and can check you in electronically. Please don't waste trees by printing a paper ticket.
How can I help?
IGDA Scotland, like the rest of the IGDA around the world, is powered by volunteers. If you are able to contribute a bit of your time to help us run this event, or any of our other activities, please sign up as a volunteer. Equally, we are always interested in talking to anyone who would like to sponsor the chapter, whether for a specific event or more generally. Please don't hesitate to contact us at info@igdascotland.org. Your support, whether in time or financial, would be greatly appreciated.
