EHC Plan School Transition

These sessions are to provide advice and guidance to parents/carers of a child with a EHC Plan, due to transition to Primary or Secondary school in September 2026.

By the 15th February 2026, you should receive a final EHC Plan naming the school or the 'type' of school for your child to attend, allocated by the Local Authority.

These information sessions from the SIAS Team will provide:

• Guidance about what steps to take if you are not in agreement with the school that has been named. This includes guidance about mediation and appeals.
• General support to help the transition process for your child.
• Discussions about schools and support available through the process
