This panel will explore the profile and impact of British animation abroad, its influence and recent successes on the international festival circuit, and examples of esteemed international animated co-productions. Speakers will include prominent UK animator Lizzy Hobbs, Abigail Addison of Animate Projects, animator Lucia Bulgheroni and witer/director Chris Shepherd. The session will be moderated by Gary Thomas, Film Programme Manager (Animation) at the British Council.

A practical introduction to the current situation in the European animation scene, this session will present examples of studios collaborating with the UK, and discuss both the difficulties of co-productions, as well as the success stories. How does this practically work with features, TV series and short film and where can one go to access European funding, animation studios and target specific animation expertise?

This session will be facilitated by Aneta Ozorek from KLIK Amsterdam Animation Festival, with participants including Robert Jaszczurowski, Head of the Polish Animation Producers Association and Founder of Grupa Smacznego Animation Studio, Ken Anderson, Red Kite Animation Founder and Producer and Nancy Fornoville, CineTe Producer.
